As for why the function of resisting near-infrared rays was added.

In terms of harm, UVB rays in ultraviolet light damage the epidermis, easily causing pigmentation;

UVA rays damage the dermis, easily causing wrinkles;

Near-infrared rays, however, penetrate directly to the subcutaneous tissue and fascial layer, severing elastic fibers and destroying collagen, which can lead to skin laxity and aging. As shown in the diagram, in terms of quantity, 10% of sunlight is UV, 40% is visible light, and 50% is near-infrared light. This means the amount of near-infrared light is about 5 times that of UV light!
